A Venetian legend tells that during the first centuries, a princess named Teodora arrived in Venice to marry a Doge. Theodora, splendid for her luxury, became well known for the use of essences on her body and in the rooms of her palace. The legend continues by saying that her great love for fragrances led her to convince her husband, the Doge, to create six essences dedicated to the six sestieri of the city, so that each area of ​​the Serenissima was characterized by fragrances that made it even more magical . And precisely from this magnificent story were born Leonis, Mercatus, Castellum, Cannetum, Crucis and Dune.
